Autumn Fashions

I LOVE Autumn! It's my favorite time of year. I look forward to all the fun accessories and colors I get to incorporate in my wardrobe. Here are a few of my fall favorites: beanies, belts, scarves, neck and bow ties, cute mittens, fabulous sweaters, cozy jackets, colorful stockings, boots... the list goes on!

I love to layer. I usually start with a neutral color base and use bold splashes of color with my accessories.

I love love love this layout! I think it may be my best yet... but I do just love my Halloween layouts as well. I favor the double scalloped border and the whimsical butterfly embellishments. I may just have to keep this one for myself.

Frosted Sugar Cookies - Happy Halloween!

Try this out this Halloween! It's my absolute favorite sugar cookie recipe:

1/2 c. (1 stick) + 2 tbsp. butter, softened to room temp.
1 c. sugar
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

1. preheat oven to 375. Cover cookies sheets with wax paper
2. beat butter and sugar in large bowel until fluffy. Beat in egg whites and vanilla
3. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt and mix well. Refrigerate 1 hour.
4. Roll dough out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut shapes.
5. Bake 8 minutes but remove before cookies turn golden brown (unless you  want your cookies to have a crispness to them)
6. Frost cookies with the following recipe:


Vanilla Frosting:

2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. skim milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix powdered sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth. Add food coloring.
